Our Parish Priest
Welcome to Mother Teresa Parish, Baldivis. It is a vibrant and very diverse community trying to worship as one big faith community where everyone is welcomed and included. Our parish reminds us the words of St.Paul we are many but one body of Christ because in one Spirit we are all baptised.
First of all I would like to acknowledge the wonderful missionary work of Father Geoff who worked tirelessly over 11 years as a parish priest of Baldivis parish community with dedication and commitment, with gentleness and humility, and his ministry was very much appreciated. I knew it was going to be big shoes to fill but trusting in God I began my ministry and I personally feel that it is a great honor and privilege to serve the parish community of Mother Teresa and I will try to take the role model of Fr Geoff in serving this faith community with commitment, love and service. In my short period of time in the parish, I experienced that the Parishioners are very Warm, friendly and cooperative.

I was ordained on 30th of April 1994 at my home parish of St, Joseph’s Church, Tamilnadu in south India and worked in the missions for few years. At the invitation of Archbishop Hickey I came to Perth in 2002 and was appointed as the assistant priest at St. Jerome’s Parish, Spearwood. Being new to the country, at the beginning it was a bit of a culture shock and I was home sick but the love and the warmth of the parishioners was truly amazing and great and they looked after me so well, it was more of a European community, instead of Rice and Curry I had to adapt to Pasta, spaghetti and other European dishes.

I was a Parish Priest at St.Bridget parish, Midland and Our Lady Help of Christians Parish, East Victoria Park. With the help and support of the people I was able to build a friendly and welcoming community in these parishes. At East Victoria Park with the generosity and cooperation of the parishioners was able to renovate the church beautifully.

I am truly blessed and grateful to God and to all those wonderful people for their love, support, encouragement, generosity and hospitality over the years in my ministry; they have become part of my faith journey. May God bless them.

We extend a warm welcome to everyone into our parish community. Together let us build our parish as a welcoming, friendly, inclusive and safe community. Let us help one another in our faith journey. May our Blessed Mother Teresa of Calcutta pray for us.
