safeguarding

project

The aim of the Safeguarding Project is to raise awareness of how to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults within the Catholic Archdiocese of Perth. Its main focus is the prevention of their abuse and harm within parishes.

The Perth Catholic Archdiocese is committed to it in the strongest terms.  At the Baldivis Catholic Parish, Saint Mother Teresa of Calcutta, two Safeguarding Officers have been appointed.

The Safeguarding Officers will be provided with ongoing support and training from the Safeguarding Office.

Details of the trained Safeguarding Officers can be found on the parish newsletters, handouts and posters on the notice board at the back of the church and at the parish centre.

The Perth Catholic Archdiocese is committed to the safety and security of all children, young people and vulnerable adults.

If you have any safety concerns about a person in the parish or about a child protection or child safety issue, you can discuss it with the Parish Safeguarding Officers.
